"“Don’t you understand that the harmony of God is hidden within a diversity of personalities? Different temperaments actually create harmony."
"For the child to be on the path of God the parents must also live right spiritually. Some parents who are religious strive to help their children to become good, not because they are concerned for the salvation of their souls, but because they what to have good children. In other words, they are more worried about what people will say about their child instead of whether they might go to hell. So how can God help?"

Gerondissa Makrina Vassopoulou
1921-1995
54,00 euroa
Yli 500-sivuinen englanniksi käännetty teos sisältää Gerontissa Makrinan puheita sisaristolle.
Saint Joseph the Hesychast (+1959) revealed to the future sisterhood of Panagia Odigitria in Portaria of Volos that he saw a vision concerning the future Gerontissa Makrina of Volos:
“While I was praying, I saw Maria (Gerontissa's name in the world) in a vision. She was in the middle, and around her were many little sheep. I realized that this was God’s way of informing me that she should be your abbess. So be obedient to her, and none of you should object to what she says.” The sisterhood that would become the nuns answered like from a single mouth: “May it be blessed” making their spiritual Father very pleased.

"Her simple speech speaks to the hearts of all,
for it comes from her authentic, holy experiences...
A person of praxis and theoria, Gerondissa was rich in virtues,
and she was and still is a guide of others toward Christ
and a model of authentic spiritual person,
when virtuous examples to follow are becoming
increasingly difficult to find."
-Stavros Kourousis,
Professor Emeritus, University of Athens

"Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me."
